Shanghai Historical Buildings Part 3 of 3


Lyceum Theatre, home of the Amateur Dramatic Club, a british drama society founded in 1866. It has been a cinema since 1931.

Sichuan Zhonglu, Joint Savings and Loan Building, designed by the Hungarian architect Ladislaus Hudec



The American Club, located at No. 209 Fuzhou Road, was designed by L.E. Hudec working for the American architectural firm, R.A.Curry. Construction was completed in 1925.

The No. 1 People's Hospital, formerly a British hospital.


Hongkaw Fire Station, on Siping Lu, one of the first four fire stations in Shanghai.



Jing'an Children's Palace, former residence of the Sephardi Jewish Kadoorie family. It was called "Marble Hall."



Dongya Hotel on Nanjing Donglu, formerly Sincere Department Store.
