Nigeria's Falconets bowed to the fire-power of their German counterparts who became the first host nation to lift the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. An 8th minute goal from Germany's Alexandra Popp and a 91st minute own goal gave the host a 2-0 win.

Alexandra Popp (born 6 April 1991 in Witten) is a German footballer. She currently plays for FCR 2001 Duisburg
She played her debut with the Germany women's national football team on 17 February 2010 against North Korea.[2] She came on as a 69th minute substitute for Kim Kulig. She scored her first international goals at Algarve Cup on 26 February 2010 against Finland.[3]
Competing in the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, she was the tournament's leading scorer, with ten goals in six matches for the victorious German side.
