Ravel bolero schubert haendel
On this day, by chance we went to a free promo concert - sponsored by am evil news-corporation (google operation mockingbird) - who paid for a professional ensemble of musicians. They played a few bars of Ravel's Bolero as a teaser, and an hour (or more) of classic hits from a bygone era. Schubert and Haendel, both professionals in their trade, but not really exciting in the modern sense.
Johann Christian Bach sounded similar, proper and uninteresting classic melodies and cadenza. Freude, schoener Goetterfunken, water music bla bla...
The picture shows the fantastic Auckland town hall pipe organ. Which stayed silent, Stumble It!
